Caring for yourself is crucial.

Proper self-care includes getting adequate rest, regular exercise, and taking care of your own health needs by keeping your regular medical appointments and addressing any new health concerns.

Take regularly scheduled breaks on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. Reach out for support from care-partnering groups, family, and friends. Treatment centers and special respite care programs are designed to provide a break for care partners. Most importantly, don’t be afraid to ask for and receive help from others.
